Peace Lutheran Church (ELCA) is a community of believers that welcome all people to experience Christ and explore what it means to live in God’s grace and love. “All people” means ALL people. Everyone is welcome to be part of the Peace faith community. Our goal is to help people learn about what God has done for us in Jesus Christ. You are welcome to join us as we worship, eat, play, fall down, get up, reach out, help people in need, and share the goodness of life in Christ. So…Experience Christ! Explore Peace!

Congregational Meeting
Dec 16 @ 10:15 am – 10:45 am

At its meeting on November 29, 2018, the Council voted to hold a brief congregational meeting at 10:15 AM on Sunday, December 16 for the purpose of
1.) Updating the Congregation on events of this year including a fiscal report for the short year that ended June 30, 2018, the Youth and Family Pastor Initiative, the Facilities Task Force status on projects, and the Call Process; as well as
2.) voting on becoming a Reconciling in Christ congregation.

Becoming a Reconciling in Christ congregation is a more formal way of joining other congregations along with our Synod to say that we welcome all people to participate in the congregation and worship life of Peace Lutheran Church including the LGBTQ community. It is a symbol widely recognized as being an affirming, inclusive, safe place for all to worship. Our Synod, the South Central Synod of Wisconsin, is a Reconciling in Christ synod as are many congregations within it. Our council voted unanimously at its September 10 meeting to become a Reconciling in Christ congregation. Our original thought was to hold a congregational vote on this as we voted on a call process candidate. However, as we prepare for pastoral candidates to interview, this is an important recognition to have determined.

A flyer that gives more information is available in the Narthex and a brief forum will be held on Wednesday, December 5th following worship as well as Sunday, December 9 following worship for anyone who has questions and would like to know more about the process.
